Carol Colyer has written an awesome book that grabs your attention and holds it until the last page. The characters are well developed and believeable. Lisa-Jo Worthington and her professor father have been searching for the “Sky Chest” for years, following legends from all over the world. They now believe that some Native American tribes were some of the last people to have seen it. The chest is rumored to be bad luck and therefore it has been hidden. Lisa-Jo plans to join her father on the planned expedition to find this treasure, but many people do not think that a woman has any business on such a journey. She is finally allowed to go along to take pictures and keep records of their travels. Not long after they meet Chase Hardcastle, their guide, Lisa -Jo begins to be drawn to him. There are many twists and turns that keep you guessing. The group faces many delays and dangers along the way. Will they find the treasure? Will all members of the expedition come back, or will some be lost along the way? What will happen with the strong feelings Lisa-Jo and Chase are feeling for each other? I believe this is one of the best books Carol has written. It was thoroughly enjoyable and I highly recommend it.I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion.
